Prohibited and Restricted Items
For safety, legal compliance, and carrier acceptance, some items cannot be transported while others require prior approval, documentation, or special handling.
Prohibited items
Do not submit items that are illegal at the origin, destination, or any transit location. Prohibited categories generally include:
- Explosives, detonators, fireworks, ammunition, and unauthorized weapons.
- Illegal drugs, narcotics, and controlled substances submitted without lawful authorization.
- Highly flammable, corrosive, toxic, radioactive, infectious, or otherwise dangerous materials not accepted by the carrier.
- Counterfeit goods, stolen property, fraudulent documents, and items that violate intellectual-property rights.
- Cash, negotiable instruments, or other items specifically refused by the selected carrier.
- Live animals, human remains, and other biological materials unless an approved specialized service is available.
- Any item concealed, falsely described, or packaged to avoid inspection or legal controls.
Restricted items
The following may be accepted only after review and may require permits, safety documents, quantity limits, original packaging, special labeling, or a specialized carrier:
- Batteries, power banks, battery-powered devices, and other regulated electronics.
- Liquids, aerosols, perfumes, cosmetics, chemicals, paint, and cleaning products.
- Medicines, medical supplies, food, agricultural products, seeds, plants, and animal products.
- Alcohol, tobacco, nicotine products, and age-restricted goods.
- High-value jewelry, precious metals, artwork, collectibles, and fragile items.
- Items requiring export licenses, import permits, customs authorization, or regulatory certification.
Customer responsibility
You must accurately declare every item and obtain any required authorization before shipment. Acceptance at a warehouse does not guarantee final carrier, customs, or destination approval.
Inspection and refusal
Butigal Express, its warehouses, carriers, and authorities may inspect a shipment where legally permitted. Undeclared, unsafe, prohibited, or noncompliant items may be held, rejected, returned, surrendered to authorities, or disposed of when legally required. Related costs may remain the customer's responsibility.
